With a remaining fat content of around 22%, our cocoa powder is considered lightly defatted, as it still contains a high level of natural cocoa butter. This not only makes it richer in healthy fats, antioxidants, and minerals, but also gives it an aromatic flavor and a creamier texture – ideal for hot chocolate or high-quality desserts.
The Ecuadorian fine flavor cacao variety Nacional Arriba is characterized by its rich, fruity-floral aroma. We only use the best fruits of our organically grown cacao for our chocolate. It grows in a species-rich mixed culture, which also provides a valuable habitat for numerous animals.
Our chocolate is produced by the dedicated team of the award-winning start-up company HUMA Chocolate in Quito, which carries out all the production steps itself with its “bean to bar” approach, from the cacao bean to the finished chocolate bar.
